Production Supervisor. Job Description. This position provides the opportunity to work in a fast growing company, manufacturing agricultural machinery for a global customer base. This role is a permanent position. The Role. The role of the supervisor will be to lead the manufacturing and assembly teams to meet a production schedule and delivery dates for shipping to customers, while completing work to the correct quality standard. The successful candidate will be required to ensure that all necessary health, safety and environmental conditions are met and maintained and proactively manage team members and ensure that performance, discipline, and absence issues are reported correctly. Criteria. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' similar experience working within a production environment, and will have an excellent technical understanding of and familiarity with manufacturing and fabrication processes and will have hands-on experience of steel fabrication. Experience in the supervision and management of production teams, translating general work requirements into a daily prioritised work plan, recognising, addressing and resolving production flow issues, overseeing the execution of work, and inspection of completed work are all essential. The ability to lead a team, effectively communicate, apply good problem solving and conflict resolution skills, organise and delegate work. Applicants with a recognised health and safety qualification and/or practical experience of applying Lean/Six Sigma processes in the workplace would be particularly welcomed. Send Cv to Gavan.
