Our Client in the Carlow region is a leading provider of innovative products for the Agriculture industry and due to expansion, they are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer. This promises to be an exciting opportunity for a suitable candidate with the right experience. Contract to Permanent Mechanical Design Engineer - CARLOW The Job: Producing 3D models & 2D fabrication drawings for customised machine orders. Producing detailed specifications and designs based on customer requirements. These will include sheet metal fabrication, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic elements. Liaising with production during fabrication and assembly of customised machines. A hands-on approach is expected. Producing bills of materials for designs. Ensuring all the required components and elements of the design are completed on time and to the correct specification. Liaising with sales personal and customers to ensure the correct setup and use of finished machines. Providing documentation where required. Archiving all design details for future reference and after sales support. Required: Diploma/Degree level education in Mechanical Engineering. Experience in the agricultural machinery industry.
