Are you a Reliability Engineer looking for your next contract role? Or are you working in a medical device environment and interested in gaining pharmaceutical industry experience? Or are you an experienced Fitter with an engineering degree? Our client, a leading Waterford basedmanufacturing company currently has a vacancy for a Reliability Engineer to join their team for a 12 month contract. This is a new role in the packaging area where you will work closely with the team to improve OEE and TPM. THE ROLE. As a Reliability Engineer you will: Work with the maintenance technicians to identify and resolve equipment faults. Co-ordinate complex equipment challenges to resolution with assistance from technician group across site. Assist maintenance groups to refine maintenance routines following analysis of downtime causes and other performance measures. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key equipment vendors. Co-ordinate shutdown activity. Develop technician expertise on shift in understanding equipment performance and in their ability to fault find and repair problems. Work alongside the Maintenance Planner to ensure maintenance activity is directed at the most important fault areas. Work with technician SMEs to ensure PMs are appropriate in reducing downtime. Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical. 3+ years' experience in the maintenance function of a high volume manufacturing organisation (preferably in a pharmaceutical or medical device environment. This is a hands on role so ideally you will be technically minded, a good problem solver and have a continuous improvement mindset. Familiar with the principles and practices of preventative and predictive maintenance. Experience of performance measurement systems such as downtime evaluation and analysis, OEE etc. Experience in the delivery of maintenance excellence programs in a regulated environment. Experienced in the identification of equipment improvement projects and delivery of same. This role might also suit an experienced Fitter who went on to gain a degree qualification in engineering.
