As Project Engineer, you will provide support to the Project Manager and prepare technical submissions and reports for Client approval. You will partake in site liaison and with sub-contractors and Client Project & Resident Engineers, carrying out site surveys and generation of works packages.The role will involve both office based work and frequent site visits. The office location is in Carlow with site visits varying depending on the client contract. (Please note a full scope of duties is available upon application to the role. To be successful, you will have a minimum of 2-3 years experience in a Mech/Elec Project Engineer role, and hold a degree in Mechanical/Electrical discipline. Ideally, you will have knowledge and experience of the water and wastewater industry. Alternatively, knowledge of the Food & Berveage industry and installation of projects would be beneficial. It is also vital that you have working knowledge of AutoCAD with the capability to update drawings for construction and to coordinate between vendors and contractors, along with knowledge and experience of plant design, construction and commissioning. Excellent verbal and written communication skills is an essential element of the role as you will be dealing with various clients, engineers and subcontractors on a daily basis. As this role is 50% site based, 50% office-based, it is essential that the you demonstrate a pro-active, practical & flexible approach to work.
