Planner (SAP APO. Our client, a large pharmaceutical organisation are seeking an experienced planner to join their team in Carlow. This role requires an individual who is an expert in SAP APO. This is initially starting off as a contract position with a strong chance of an extension or permanency. Demand Planning - ensuring the unconstrained customer volume requirements are assessed and forecast accuracy understood. This includes Tech Transfers/Launch requirements as well as Clinical/Commercial product, as both areas drive the requirements for the manufacture of products in the plant. Communication with the Customers (Planning Hubs) and integration with the Tech Transfer team are crucial to the success of demand planning. Supply Planning - Applying the manufacturing plants constraints to the demand volume, to arrive at a credible achievable Supply Plan that can meet the customers' requirements. This Supply Plan is critical to driving almost all of the site activities, and as such, integration with all groups within the site (including Quality labs, maintenance, cleaning/Setup/changeover teams, production, materials planning, projects/tech transfers, warehouse) is required to ensure all constraints are accurately applied. Principal Accountabilities: The planner will be responsible for Demand Plan, projected volumes, & forecast accuracy. Run Integrated internal S&OP meetings feeding into Global S&OP reviews monthly. Communicate to hubs to amend incorrect Demand Signals in SAP APO. Ensure there are Integrated Tech transfer, Master Data & Planning Processes. Produce Supply Plan (credible & achievable) based on an integrated planning process and ensure Supply Plan updated on SAP APO reflected as Planned Orders. Assess the Weekly SAP APO Alert Monitor message and action. Produce Capacity Plans & Strategic Scenario Planning. Handover the constraint adjusted plan of SAP Planned Orders to be converted into Process orders in the Production Time Fence to Production Planner. Ensure that recipe run times, batch sizes, drug substance calculations, goods processing times and any other SAP related criteria are accurate to ensure reliable long term production plans. Produce quarterly material forecasts (production and receipt) for Finance and QC. Involved in the implementation and use of Rapid Response system on site ensuring that the site produces enough stock to replenish packaging site by keeping correct amount of safety stock. Ensure that all activities in the 3 to 24 month period has an associated BOM and a planned order in SAP APO. For any Demand Led Changes (initiated from Planning Hub or Tech Transfer) that impact the Supply Plan ensure that the costs go through the S&OP process on a monthly basis and are approved by SLT. For any Supply Led Changes (site initiated) Remediation plan to be assessed to Ensure outgoing Customer OTIF is not impacted. Impacts to committed customer supply are communicated with customer. Changes to plan to go through S&OP process to be approved by SLT. Manage root cause analysis of system failures using standard tools and methods, to resolve any system issues e.g. FMEA, Fishbone diagrams, 5 why's etc.; oversee and implement subsequent corrective action through the change management system. Input to cross functional meetings regarding process improvement or introduction of new processes, Drive compliance with Global Policies, Procedures and Guidelines, regulatory requirements and execute current Good manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in the performance of day to day activities and all applicable job functions. Work collaboratively to drive a safe and compliant culture. May be required to perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Knowledge. Typical Minimum Education. Bachelor Degree in a Science/Engineering related discipline or equivalent is required. Typical Minimum Experience. Considerable experience in the Pharmaceutical or Manufacturing industry planning. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and strong understanding of Pharmaceutical GMP systems are essential. Core Competences: Technical. Knowledge of regulatory/code requirements to Irish, European and International. Codes, Standards and Practices. Report, standards, policy writing skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and job related computer applications required. Lean Six Sigma Methodology experience desired. Knowledge of SAP APO.
