Competition Type: Permanent Appointment. Location: Teagasc Head Office, Oak Park, Carlow. Grade/Salary: Administration Grade 4 with a starting salary of €41,473. The current salary scale for this post is €41,473 to €58,294. The appointee will progress incrementally on this scale subject to annual performance reviews. Remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government Policy. Basic Function: The Pensions Officer will be an expert in pension administration and will play a lead role in managing, operating and enhancing the pension service provided to current serving staff and pensioners with Teagasc. He/she will provide expertise to the organisation on legislative requirements in the role. The role involves communication and collaboration at all levels within Teagasc, with former staff, retirees and bereaved family members. Background: The purpose of this post is to assist the organisation to remain compliant with pension legislation and regulations, to provide high quality, accurate and timely information to staff and pensioners and to improve effectiveness of the pension function.
